This page is designed to help you find quick answers to common photo restoration questions. Just click on a question to be taken to the answer further on down the page. If you still can't find what you're looking for, please feel free to contact us for assistance.

Do we accept every project (photo) to work with if they are really bad?
• No. Some Photos that we receive are so bad to work with that it is virtually impossible to repair the photo to appear somewhat dec sent. Since that is the case, we send you back the photo and $5 less for assessment time, shipping and handling.
• This occurrence does not happen that often but it does occur from time to time. It is our interest to ensure you receive a quality photo from us.

Can you return my finished prints on CD?
Yes.
• CD-ROM - $5.00
A high resolution copy of restored/ edited photographs provided on CD-ROM - (not including shipping)
Also...
• On-Line Delivery - $2.50
The high resolution digital file of the restoration will be Zipped and delivered to you on-line. (this option is only recommended if you have a high speed internet connection as these files are often very large in files size)

What is the cost of Postage & Delivery?
All packages containing original photos will be shipped UPS. Once we have your order and your delivery address we will be able to price the cost of delivery. You will be notified before we start any work for you what the cost of postage is going to be. You will be able to choose from ground or air for faster delivery if needed. All packages will be sent requiring a signature on delivery.

Any packages only containing copy prints or CD's may be shipped via US Priority Mail normally for under $5.00

Is it safe to mail in my cherished photos?
Registered Mail, UPS, and USPS are very safe means of shipping because the packages can be tracked with a tracking number available at the time of shipment. Overnight services like Federal Express, Airborne Express, UPS and USPS special delivery options like certified mail will provide you with even better security.

What is the correct way to package my photos?
If you are sending photographs, always include at the very least one piece, or better yet two pieces of corrugated cardboard. Even if the photo is mounted on mount board, this will not provide adequate protection. If you are sending anything with glass, you should wrap it horizontally with bubble packing and then another layer vertically. This should then be placed in a box filled with plastic peanuts. This method will offer maximum protection without adding much to the weight. Once again, the absolute safest way to ship your photographs is by UPS or FedEx. Don't worry about the extra cost of insurance, they will only pay for the actual cost of the photograph ($10 to $25), not what you claim it is worth to you. Instead, spend your money on the most reliable but more expensive shipping method.

What is Photo Restoration?
Photographs with characteristics such as yellowing, cracked, torn, mold, scratches, creases, dusts, fading and other forms of damages that may have altered the original photograph, can be restored.

The photo restoration process starts by scanning the original photograph into a high resolution digital image. If a digital image is already available, no scanning is needed. Detail restoration work will then be performed on this digital image.

What is Photo Enhancement?
Photo Enhancement consists of various levels of services such as colonization, facial retouching, adding or removing people and objects.

How is my photograph restored?
Each photo is scanned and saved into our computer. Changes are made to the duplicate, which is then printed on high quality paper, in the finish of your choice. The original photo is used as a visual reference for repairs and adjustments, then returned to you, unchanged, with your order.
